A Year In Review

It’s always around this time of year that I like to go back and look at what I have accomplished in the year. I take a look at the stats and see where I have grown as a business to see if it is in alignment with my efforts for the year. This process helps me to plan for the following year and to review if I need to pivot.

So let’s look at the stats. This year I:

Participated in five in-person markets

Participated in the Erie County Fair Plein-Air Competition

Created an exhibit for the Interior Design Show and The Artist is in the Building: Spring Mixer at the Port of Montreal Tower

Learned how to use gouache acrylics and painted 50 landscapes with this medium

Painted two large abstract landscapes for a commission

Painted a large pet portrait commission

Participated in November Squares sketchbook challenge for the month of November

Painted En Plein-Air more this year

Created a painted one of a kind advent calendar for my son

Painted a total of 71 paintings this year

Had a personal branding photo session and created a website for LAURA FOSTER ART

As I look back at these accomplishments I feel motivated and excited to start goal setting for next year, which is often what happens when I start to take a look at everything. I will be sharing these goals in next week’s blog, so I hope you come back to see everything I have planned for next year.

In the meantime, I wish you a very happy Christmas and hope that you get a chance to enjoy time with friends and family over the next week.

All the best,

Laura
